Hey guys,
There are many herbs that can be used to promote hair growth (check out our products, we’ve got loads!!!), but I’m going to focus on 3, in particular, in DEPTH!
AMLA
The Amla tree, also known as Indian gooseberry, is native to India and yields a fruit of the same name that is a common element in many Ayurvedic traditions.
Amla contains a high concentration of antioxidants, primarily vitamins C and E. Since oxidative stress may cause hair loss as well as a dull look, antioxidants of any kind are usually beneficial. Amla extract showed a beneficial effect on certain cells within hair follicles, which might aid in development by extending the anagen, or growth phase, of the hair cycle.
Massaging amla oil into the scalp is healthy to the skin, but it can also assist to enhance the appearance of the hair quicker. The same instructions apply as with rosemary oil: massage the scalp for five to ten minutes before completely washing. Amla is also available as an oral supplement in the form of tablets and powders.
It takes about 4 months. Quick tip: When searching for new hair growth, keep an eye out for your part and hairline, where it will be the most obvious. It may look like small, broken strands at first, but this is actually new hair.
ROSEMARY

Rosemary oil is a natural herb-derived oil.
Rosemary oil is anti- antimicrobial and inflammatory, making it a good choice for those suffering from scalp issues like itching and flaking. Its anti-inflammatory properties are also what makes it beneficial for potential hair growth purposes, as it helps keep the follicles healthy to support hair growth.
Massage a few drops of the oil straight into the scalp for five to ten minutes (it's strong, so a little goes a long way). Massage it into the scalp to improve blood circulation, which, along with the oil's anti-inflammatory characteristics, is an excellent approach to support the anagen, or growth, phase of the hair cycle.
After around four weeks, you should begin to notice some of the impacts, at least in terms of scalp benefits. Most likely, you'll have to wait as least four months to notice any effect on the health of the follicle and maybe enhanced growth.
ALOE VERA

Aloe vera is a plant whose leaves contain a gel-like material.
To be fair, aloe vera has more proven benefits for skin and scalp than it does directly for hair, but given that healthy hair can only come from a healthy scalp, it's worthy of a spot on this list. "Taking care of the scalp benefits overall hair growth,". As far as aloe goes, it's loaded with vitamins (more specifically A, C, and E, all great protective antioxidants) and is deeply moisturising and soothing with anti-inflammatory benefits. One study found it to be particularly beneficial for those dealing with seborrheic dermatitis, a common scalp condition that results in dryness, flaking, and itching.
You'll see the advantages of aloe vera on the scalp almost immediately, with an improvement in how it feels and looks after just one application. As with the other herbs, any growth-related benefits will take a few months to develop.
There’s plenty more where that came from. Have a look at our full ingredients list in our Vita Elixir!
